it's outrageous that local police are dressed and equipped as a military force...dressing up as soldiers has a psychological effect on the men transforming them as 'police' working with and for the public to soldiers fighting an enemy..this spills over into day to day patrols...

I'm with you. I'm a believer that anytime there is an officer involved shooting, hand it off to the state. Let them handle it. Ferguson handed to the County, but that's not the same. Give it to the state guys.

A limited number of officers arrive and handle it. Same as they did when they apprehended the 10 looting the quick e mart.

Was thinking the same thing. Really makes Ferguson and St. Louis County PD look incompetent. There is no way they could or should keep their jobs. The decision makers that is.
I suppose Johnson's real test is yet to come though. See if the outsiders show up or stay away.

I'm all for the peaceful protesters, what I am not for is the racebaiting section who WANTS the violence and such. There is a small contingent of them who are sad that the police are doing the right thing now, and they'll show their arse eventually. It'll be interesting to see what those who have been so active on twitter have to say now, and it will show their true colors.
