If that's the case, then no. But I have a sneaky suspicion that the information coming from Twitter may not be 100% accurate.

So you guys think that he was shot seven times, not nine or ten?

What difference does it make?

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) — St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar says the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown came after an altercation with police.

Belmar said at a news conference Sunday morning that a Ferguson Police officer had an encounter with two people. He says one person allegedly pushed the officer back into patrol car and assaulted the officer.

He says there was a struggle over the officers' weapon and one shot was fired in the car. The officer then got out of his vehicle and shot at "a subject."

He says the man suffered more than a couple gunshots, but "not many more than that."

The story states that he was being put into a squad car and broke free running away with his hands held up.

So they were putting him in the car without cuffs on? Since his hands were up an all.

No it does not. He was shot more than a couple of times, but not many more, but we do not know how many more.

Again, the ONLY reason he would have been shot is if he acting like he was reaching for a weapon.

Right. Because cops ALWAYS go strictly by the book and NEVER break the law during the course of "protecting and serving"

So you're telling me that this kid physically assaulted an officer, got into the car, attempted to steal the officer's gun and then ran and was shot?? Over what? There's been no reported mention of this guy stealing anything so what reason did they have to stop him? What reason did he have to assault them?
This smells of police bullshite.

Probably. That's not my go to position. I generally don't take twitter reports as gospel.

What I take from this scenario... Kid shot, cop shot him. Everything else is rampant speculation.

Edit:

quote:

Kid shot, cop shot him

This should be interpreted as the kid was shot, the policeman shot the kid.

Kind of like the guys that shoot themselves in the back of a cop car while handcuffed right?

Kid shot with what? Every report says the guy was UNARMED? So what the hell did he shoot with?

That's the worst story I've heard in my life. They really expect people to believe this. A five year old could come up with a better cover story

Rampant speculation is saying the kid fired a shot. That has not been reported.

I don't even look at twitter. The Chief's ambiguity says all I need to know.

No sir. I was saying the kid got shot... Not that he fired a shot.
