Having been to St. Louis, it's nowhere close to Southern. Feels more like Ohio than anywhere in the South

As someone who lives in STL, it’s definitely not southern!

I spent a week there for a conference. One evening, I asked the front desk athe hotel (the one at the north side of the arch) for a good steak restaurant. They said we really don’t have good steak houses around here. It was that WTF moment. I thought that city absolutely sucked. The workmen was ugly, pasty and fat.

Definitely not a southern town.

If you added dumb to those, then it definitely would be a southern town.

Plenty of places

Carmines
Tonys
Lombardos
etc

Plenty of really good food downtown, but majority of best places are in the suburbs, south and west.

St Louis is a midwestern City.

The person who said that is in denial with just how many voters their part has lost over the years by going full SJW.

And in the case of Missouri, they’ve thrown SJW bullshite in the face of those voters for a decade or more now. The people don’t like it.

St Louis is midwestern. Anyone that thinks St Louis is a southern city hasn’t been to a southern city like Memphis, Baton Rouge, or B’ham.

If he lives by himself, he's living in Soulard or Central West End.

If a hispter d-bag, still living with Mommy, he's in West County.

All you have to do is listen to any of the locals up there run their mouths and you’ll figure out real quick that St. Louis is a Midwestern town. They don’t sound anything like anybody from anywhere in the south.

False. To wit:

"During January the overnight temperature drops to an average of 22.0°F with the lowest temperature of -18.0°F being recorded on January 20 1985."

Definitely a lot of good steak houses in STL.

They don’t say thank you up here, it’s “right on” which took me almost a year to
Adjust to.

They aren’t taught pleasantries up here like sir and ma’am.

Nothing in Mizzou is southern, geographically or culturally.

The Bootheel is pretty southern. Otherwise I agree with you.
