"St. Louis is surrounded by a Southern-type voting sentiment of white suburbs that vote Republican".
"The area near STL has not voted Democratic since Bill Clinton and Mel Carnahan in 1996.

St.louis city and County have been run by democrats for decades, with city over 50+ years of liberal run.
The only republican candidates in county to even come close, were ones who sold their soul to the shitheads from North County, and still couldn't win.

St. Louis the city - doubt it.
But my mother's family came from Illinois, south and east of St. Louis and close enough to get the St. Louis TV stations on the antenna. And they were as Southern as it gets. So the idea isn't entirely stupid.

This is easy. If it’s predominantly Lutheran or Reformed, it’s Midwest. Dead give away.
If it’s Predominantly Baptist or Methodist then it’s Southern.
