They do great work and should get more praise for their efforts.

My daughter and I run as St Jude Heroes every December. This will be my 8th year and her 6th.

Our group plays bingo with the kids at Tri Delta Place. More rewarding in the three hour period than anything I’ve ever done.

Last year I was devastated that out Sunflowers for St Jude field got devastated by Delta.

People laughed at me and yes I knkw others lost lots more but I saw money for the kids in that field.

We’ll be planting four acres again this year! We made quite a bit of money.

My sister was a patient and is a survivor. A few other kids from our town were also patients.

A friend worked there for a while as a research/lab tech, and she said they worked their asses off. That may make you feel better about your donations being used well.

My daughter is trying to intern with ALSAC this summer — the fundraising division at St Jude. She’s at Ole Miss (yeah I know) and has made SO many St Jude connections.

Her goal is to work for them after graduation.

This is a motherfuking lie and I know it firsthand. They're cooking the books. Red Cross is extremely wasteful. I dealt with Katrina and I dealt with both Red Cross and Salvation Army exclusively. Redcross had a nice new building with fancy expensive art on the walls and high-end furniture and rugs with a bunch of people standing around doing nothing and I experienced that on more than one occasion for other storms. Every time I've dealt with Salvation Army it's been in some basement in a church on army cots.

Twenty 49 so glad to hear she’s a survivor. We’ve heard SO many stories while visiting with and playing bingo with families.

Families from EVERYWHERE. And I mean everywhere.

It’s been a blessing to have been able to do this.

The best thing about St.Judes is its personnel. They are all very very special, dedicated people. They pour their hearts & souls into taking care of the children. They can never have an off day, just the opposite, they have to be ON each & every day. What & who you see in their tv ads is exactly the kind of people they are, day to day. all day long.

I remember seeing the one with the little 2 year old girl crying. My little girl was 2 at the time and it made me bawl.

St. Jude is one of the charities I donate to. They are there to help the children - they don’t care where you come from or what you have - their main goal is to help that child the most

The numbers for the Red Cross have to be a lie - they’ve helped a lot of people but recently I’m not so sure. I know at one place after some hurricanes they were selling food to those affected.

But maybe that was just lousy volunteers

We met a family at Tri Delta Place — where you first go for shorty term stay for Evans and what not.

THE KID WAS AN INFANT ... I bawled my eyes out after visiting with them. I’m not supposed to question but in what world is that fair?

While there, I was never fearful. With their holistic approach and treatment our focus was on getting better.

I had nothing but hope.

Certainly, I never ceased praying.

Special thanks to our pediatric neurosurgeon.

It’s horrible and it’s a prime reason why many people can’t accept the idea of a loving god. Just horrible that little kids ever have to suffer like that.

My son is a former St. Jude patient. He is celebrating 10 years of being cured from leukemia.

St. Jude was an incredible facility and staff. I cannot say enough about how amazing that place truly was for us. Highly encourage everyone to donate

And thank you to those that have in the past

I know Carnival Cruise Lines takes a beating on this site, but they are a big corporate donor to St. Jude.

They have donated at least $22 million to St. Jude since 2010, and give passengers several ways to donate. I always give up the price of a few drinks to St. Jude each time I cruise.

The one with the sibling with their hand on the back of the smaller sibling who is sick in the bathroom gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME. It’s heartbreaking.
