Sprouts supermarket signs lease to build first Louisiana location at Rouzan

The Phoenix company that operates Sprouts Farmers Market Inc. has signed a lease to open a grocery store in the planned Village Center at Rouzan.
According to documents filed Jan. 3 with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court, SFM LLC signed a lease in October 2017 with Village Center Partners LLC, which is owned by Tommy Spinosa.
SFM is the trading symbol for Sprouts Farmers Market, which is traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
Spinsoa is the original developer of Rouzan and still retains the four-acre parcel on which the supermarket will be developed. He recently sold the rest of the 100-acre Traditional Neighborhood Development to a team of investors led by John Engquist, Charles Landry and Todd Waguespack.

Rouses, Mathernes, and now Sprouts all going up around LSU with Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie, Trader Joes, and Bet-R already established. Should be fun to watch the war.

Winn Dixie will not survive.
Rouses will eventually become Publix, but I expect their LSU area store to be better than their other lackluster Baton Rouge stores.

I wonder what they'll put in that location. It's a hot corner, I just don't know what would fit in a giant store like that.

I like the wide assortment of food samples that they offer at Sprouts. Some people refer to the samples as “bulk items” and the really uptight people will tell you to use a scoop, not your hand. Losers.
Avoid going on Wednesdays because that’s when all the Poors show up to take advantage of the double sale event.
They sell Immaculate brand cinnamon rolls. None better.

There's one a couple miles from me so I go nearly every Wednesday when I'm in town. I'm a serious shopper and hate amateur hour (especially the Atlanta clientele), so I go at like 11am.
Anyway, ours (Decatur, Ga) is a little ghetto even though only a year old. But double flier Wed is worth it.
Recent Notables: .50 avocados; $2.50/pint organic strawberries, $7.99/lb wild caught salmon, $7.99/lb bulk organic coffee.
They just put an Aldi right behind it, and a WFM 365 is going up next door. Best Walmart Market I've ever been to is across street. It's a great time to be a poor who cooks a lot!

$5 sushi rolls all day on Wednesday even on the ones that run $11-$12 usually.

This won't be a SG store?
Bye bye Winn Dixie. Now you can move to NBR and compete with Piggly Wiggly.

Sprouts is my favorite store in that category. A cheaper version of Whole Foods. A bigger version of Trader Joe's. Great place to stock up on your vegetables, fruits, nuts, meats, etc. Lots of thin, attractive shoppers, without the attitude of WF shoppers.

Buy them often when they are at fresh market

Yea i like Sprouts. Great place to buy bulk, and they have good meats and a decent wine selection.

We have a Sprouts over in Flower Mound. Competitive on produce pricing with Winco, better quality than them or Aldi. Plus if you bring in your own bags, they take 5 cents per bag off the total.

Huh? It would be great to have Publix in Baton Rouge. However, I’ve not heard anything about their expansion into So LA. What?
