Is it about playing time, nil or requirement by coaches? Looks like BB & FB are where most transfers are happening not baseball.

A player wants to play elsewhere for a variety of reasons, so he does.

I hope that helps.

Wrong board but think 100 percent unrestricted free agency across the board. You’re welcome

Nobody gives a shite about college baseball. People barely give a shite about college basketball.

People still care and follow college football nationally so mostly NIL money is the driving factor.

Yes. Per my gump BIL it's bad because it's teaching them that it's ok to leave a job for another job that they'd be happier at or pays them more.

Ill explain this in OT terms...

Wife isnt getting enough action from her former travel ball husband, Breydan, because he works 350 hours a week at the plant.

She puts in for a transfer.

In moves Jody to satisfy her with his immaculate new iberia haircut bangs and ability to take Braxxxton to his travel ball practices in his Dodge Ram Big Horn.

used to, if you wanted to leave a school, you could transfer but you'd have to sit out a year.

meanwhile a coach could leave and have his new school pay out his contract. so if i went to LSU to play for Brian Kelly and fit into his system and liked playing for him, he gets to leave and somebody will pay off his contract. if i don't like my conditions and want to leave, i'd have to leave and lose a year of eligibility.

also schools could make money off the NIL of a student, but the student "couldn't" (wink, wink, nudge nudge) make money themselves.

kinda all came to a head where NCAA knew they were going to lose it all so they created an online transfer portal where if you want to leave, you can enter it at certain times of the year. this way the student doesn't even have to talk to the coaches or AD. they can just bail.

i have a friend that is a DIII soccer coach. he became AD the year this came out and it made his life miserable. kids would do workouts and practices, but then when the portal opens, bam gets email that they're in the portal and they just immediately stop all communication with the team and bail.
