It's a flying Walmart and carnival cruise all wrapped into a twin prop engine. What could go wrong?

"Spirit Airlines" and "Florida" does not make for a very eclectic combination.

My Brother's GF works for a company that subcontracts to all airlines at IAH. She says never fly Spirit Airlines.

I've flown Spirit multiple times to Vegas or Denver roundtrip for less than $150. As long as you know the rules and are only taking a backpack for the weekend, you can't beat it.

There is a direct flight from FLL to NOLA so we had to fly them a few weeks ago. Never again.

Buddy of mine said there was a passenger on his flight to NOLA with a plate of fried chicken. He finished about half of it and set the plate down on the floor and just left it when they deplaned.

If y'all haven't noticed, there's a reason I don't post spirit flights on the travel board in cheap airfare threads

I did a long weekend to Ft. Lauderdale round trip for 80.00
I knew what I was getting into but it wasn't a horrible experience.

FLL has the trashiest people of any airport I've ever been in and it's not even close (except maybe MIA). And that includes airports in poor countries throughout central and south america. FLL feels much more like a bus terminal than an airport. This story surprises me not at all.
