I have a truck. I do a good bit of woodworking. If I need to haul something over 10' or so or if its real heavy I get the local lumber yard to deliver it for $12.50.

More than that.

Can people quit pretending that a set of tires for an F150 cost more than $1000?

BFG all terrains are not the base set of wheels for these vehicles. You can EASILY get a good set of tires for $800 or cheaper.

Try $600

And even with the BFG ATs, you're looking at right around $1000 after mounting and balancing for the factory size 275/55/20.

Truck enthusiasts (not all, but a lot) fool themselves into thinking they are manlier than they are and just have to have that truck.

So true and sad.

Having owned many full sized trucks, you won't sell this steaming pile of horse shite to me. You aren't leaving a tire shop with decent rubber installed for less than $900 and that's if you have 18" wheels. A lot of trucks have 19" and 20" wheels.

I got tires for my wife's Accord earlier this year. Total bill was less than $360.

I have an SUV that's basically a midsize pickup wearing a backpack so sometimes I miss the open bed when shite won't fit in the back but that's it.

Stop being a dummy and shop online for your tires. These are fantastic tires, and can be purchased, mounted, and balanced for $775 total. There are plenty cheaper than these as well.

Great question. My brother and I went in on one we basically stole from an old dude at an estate sale -$2,000 for a 1996 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 126K original miles, and it runs/drives like a champ. We use it for hunting, and landscape stuff we do at our houses. Having one available whenever you need it is definitely a plus.

Curious, where do you get them installed and balanced if purchased online? Also, will the same place offer free rotations and balancing at regular intervals for the life of the tire?

Pretty much anywhere.

Do you manly men with your trucks not rotate your own tires? My wife can do that.

I miss having a truck, but I live in town Atlanta. If I ever move to the suburbs or a rural area where it is far easier to own a truck, I'll definitely do so again.

Home Depot rents trucks by the hour. It isn't a big deal. Would never buy a truck.

I once had trouble getting a huge plasma screen tv home since I couldn't lay it flat. That was my only need for a truck.
