A lot of unrealistic numbers in this thread. Speedometers are not very accurate at high speed. I was 750rpm past redline when I hit top speed.

Define high end.

Plenty of German and Italian "high performance" cars are off by around 5% or so at higher (100+ mph) speeds.

With worn tires that could easily mean that 150 indicated is 135-140 actual.

when i worked for a Porshe dealership we had this guy that came in pissed as hell...

turns out after every Sunday service when his soul was right he took his 944 turbo out and held it to the floor on this stretch of road in town.

the reason he was so pissed because his top speed dropped one mph.
