You get 10 million dollars net, but can't travel 75 mile from current residence for rest of your life.

Do you take it?

75 miles is a pretty tight range. I would say no.

I'd do this over the billion and not being able to leave at all. With the 75 mile radius, I could at least have a badass hunting spot outside of town

What's the penalty if I did? 10 Million ain't a billion but I still would feel like a bad arse and that no one would frick with me if I did leave.

If it was 10 million but I could not leave the country I would take that in a heart beat.

I live in warehouse district... 75 miles could set me up on the Northshore...

I'd DEFINITELY take it... build a sick house, furnish, cars, etc... fly family in and still be able to make it to LSU games?

Not even a question.

For everything else, there's internet, satellite, FaceTime...

Now that I think about it, you better hope your local hospital has badass care.

wihtout a moment's hesitation. I already live in a big city so there's plenty enough to keep myself occupied at home, plus Athens is only about 70 miles away and all my family is wtihin the radius as well. This would be a no-brainer for me.

Really, all I'd truly miss out on is the beach and any fun vacations out of state. But I'm sure I'd get over it with $10M

75 miles really isn't much different than not being able to leave your current city. Make it that you aren't able to leave your state and maybe it is sufficiently different than the other thread.

Is this thread solely for the guy that wants to go between NOLA and Grand Isle? I'd still fricking do it. I could easily live off the interest from putting the 10 mil in mutual funds. Would never have to work, and would have everything I need, plus most likely be able to set my kids up for life too

Easy. Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Aventure, Hollywood, Hallandale, sunny isles, golden isles, golden beach, South beach, and other nice areas are all within 75 miles of me.

Still couldn't do it. Not being able to take my kids on vacation is a deal breaker.
