Yes we are. I refer you to my comments about my friend who walked in front of an 18 wheeler while she was stoned.
Why am I trying to talk logic to a bunch of people who are stoned?
Take another toke dude. Let's talk when you are sober.

I'm sober.

My friend died as a result of a drunk driver. Will you support my campaign to ban alcohol?

And you think something like that isn't possible for a very drunk person?

I give your feeble troll attempt 6.5/10, only because I actually believed you were serious for a little while. Your game could use a little work- you have to start out subtle, then rachet it up slowly, not hot and heavy like you are doing now. Take some example from LucasP.

Let's make all mind altering chemicals legal because alcohol is legal? Is this the best argument you have?!

Not all, just one and its a freaking plant. And yes the fact that weed is substantially less harmful than alcohol and tobacco means a LOT.

For every dumbass like you or your dead friend there are a hundred people who can smoke without ending or ruining their lives. Sorry we're not mindless sheep who think a plant is evil because the government tells us it is.

When I smoked pot as a teenager I became a lazy dude and quit playing football which I had loved previous to smoking weed. Still regret this
Also had a good friend who got stoned out of her mind and walked in front of an 18 wheeler in Port Allen.
Legalizing it sends the message to young folks that it is harmless which in my experience is untrue. For this reason I am opposed to legalization.
If you don't find this a reasonable reason I will just assume you are stoned beyond reason.
This is the most piss poor argument against legalization that I have ever read

Late to the conversation, but I live in Denver metro and here are my observations:

16 year old teen was high, and ran over and killed a kid walking to school. He was sentenced to two years in juvie.

Weed is literally everywhere. You can no longer hike a trail or go on a bike ride or walk to a Rockies game without getting hit in the face with weed. When it was illegal, people were a bit more discreet with it. It's open season now and to those who don't smoke or care for the smell, has become an issue.

With it being so easy to get, kids are able to get into this stuff a lot easier. I preferred it when it was harder to come by, and people had a bit more respect for others with it.

I rarely come across anyone who still opposes full legalization. I'm talking about cops, judges, assistant DAs, my parents...

Didn't a kid get drunk and killed four people ?

Alcohol is everywhere. You can't turn on the t.v. without seeing an ad for it.

Well start the movement to ban alcohol. Kids get it just as easy.

Those are mostly in favor of legalizing in my experience. Even older folks like my parents, even cops, even some judges and assistant DAs of all ages--they favor legalization for various reasons.

Fair enough. As long as we also outlaw sugar, saturated fats, artificial sweeteners, preservatives, tobacco, alcohol, gluten, salt, stress, depression, laziness, insomnia, and amything else that adversely affects a person's health.

Perhaps someone should tell their respective lobbying groups? Every year, the Sheriff's and DA associations seem to tell the state and federal legislature that legalizing is dangerous, and that they need to protect the children from the ills of the devil's lettuce.

how else are all the prisons going to stay full if its legalized? Do you think the law will replace those potheads with rapists and killers?

Sounds like tough work to me.

Yes there is a disconnect. The lobby arm of the sheriffs and DAs don't reflect the views of all it's members. Especially the younger ADAs and cops. I wouldn't be surprised if at least half of the state's cops and ADAs favored legalization. That's why there is hope for sanity in the future.

No. Any person that is ever tried and convicted as a habitual offender because of marijuana likely has an extensive criminal history involving many other crimes.
