the only thing that bothers me about all of that is the drinks always taste like orange or cherry.

Most of you shitstains didn't read the OP. Didn't say I spent money on anything other than nachos. Just commenting on the prices.
Man, you turds need to brush up on posting.

I don't get man opportunities to watch movies in the theater. When I do, I typically choose an AMC because they seem to be the best in the Baron Rouge area. This is based on my personal experiences with them, so if any of you guys have had you time at an AMC disturbed by hoologans or other shenanigans then I'm sorry.
I also have the Stubbs card which has actually paid off for me.
I typically don't go to the theater and buy a bunch of food. One large popcorn spilt between myself, my wife and my son is usually sufficient.
These theaters make their money on concessions and the fewer folks buying tickets means profits are probably thinning. So they shift the burden to the loyal moviegoers by raising prices.
I still sneak stuff in when I can. It's an American tradition and one I'm not about to turn my back on.

Do you live under a rock? Those prices you posted are nothing new. Those are the prices at all leading franchises. The prices have been that high or very close for many years. Nothing new...
...and the cup sizes are not nearly the same size as you say. I seldom ever get a drink when I go, but I always get the small because the medium and large cups are too freaking big. The large is crazy big.

What would the order be for a 25 yr old male dindu nuffin?
Cherry/blue Icee depending on flavor availability at particular theater.
Hot dog if getting food, nachos if he has $$$
If getting a Cold drink in lieu of Icee it would be Sprite or HiC.

AMC needs to remodel their theaters to where the seats are replaced by reclining, comfortable chairs. Also, being able to reserve seats in advance is a huge plus.
People rag on Movie Tavern all the time, but I have set foot in an AMC theater since it opened and it's all due to being able to reserve seats.
