Why would we have that amount of desalinization occurring? I’m just trying to comprehend how we essentially turn the Mississippi brackish

That’s Algiers Point I’m pretty sure

Water does some damage, but I can swim or walk through it. Fire, not so much.
And I comment on stuff because after Katrina people thought all of Louisiana was under water. So enlightened over there. Same with people from the East and West of us. But they have all been fricked more recently from natural disasters. Yet they wonder why we don't move.

Keep it breached there. Rebuild that marsh

Nevermind.
I couldn't explain it on here. The lake is brackish. Mississippi never would be. Keeping the salinity of the lake is the point.

I've been on that levee when the water was high. Looks scary up close.

No I get that. I was just wondering. I didn’t think about the salinity of the lake. It would take so much salt though. Damn that would be a lot of salt

It doesn't matter if they leave it open year round. If the river's not high enough to divert through no water enters even with the locks up.

They need to install some siphons thru levee to get water into the Lebranch wetlands east of the BC spillway.

self-inflicted drought
They send half of the water from the north directly into the ocean before it goes down south. Then down south they go into drought later. Yes, self inflicted

Serious question. Why did they build the spillway on that side of the river to flow into the lake (salt water)? Should have built a spillway on other side and and flow into fresh water / marsh into des allemands area?
