Streaming isn't any cheaper is the problem now. If you are aggressive at calling for discounts

Sling, bunny ears, max, Netflix, D+,/Hulu/ESPN+, Peacock, and Prime runs me less than $100 a month. With WAAAAAYYYY more options than o ever had with cable or satellite.

There might be an occasional regional game I miss but I get to watch all the tennis, football, and basketball I want with that.

Dish/Direct/Spectrum has never been that cheap.

Maybe it's time to challenge the monopoly. NBC and Fox could do it. NBC has at least one useless channel on the weekend in CNBC and I doubt anyone would be unhappy if there were less episodes of SVU and the Chicago stuff on USA.

You could also have Fox broadcast and expand out FS1 and Fox Business on the weekends. The two should band together and assault ESPN and their rodent masters....especially on the college playoff by buying the rights to some bowls like Fox did in the 2000's. The 2008 Sugar Bowl with LSU ( Nat. Championship) was on Fox.

So I tried IPTV. Paid a 1 month fee $10
Worked chat with them for a couple hours. No joy ! Tech emailing me about problem getting their service. Has anyone successfully hooked up to IPTV
I switched to IPTV back in January. ZERO issues! Every channel, every sport, everything. I pay $17/month. I use a firestick for TV, but I can also watch on a computer, and my phone. Did I mention that it's $17/month?

Been using IPTV for 3 years now and I love it. Noticed just now that one of my ESPN feeds must come from Spectrum because it has the message on the screen about Disney. Luckily the other 2 work fine.

While I agree you Spectrum is my provider. I found an apk that I can get all the ESPN channels. Do some research. There are ways to get the channels you want. I don’t want to put on here which one I am using. Spectrum isn’t screwing my weekend of football. The easiest way is to get an antenna and catch the signal OTA

Just get cable. So much more reliable and it’s 1 click to switch channels to keep up with more than 1 game playing at the same time.
. I got cable ( spectrum). Disney dropped them also

Never have I been happier that my Wolverines and the Big Ten are no longer on ESPN.

I would love for the CFP to leave ESPN for CBS, NBC, Fox, or a combo of those but everyone knows ESPN sucks CFP's dick and ESPN actually has right of first refusal for the CFP when the deal is up in 2025. It wouldn't be so bad if they had put the CFP Semi-Final and Final games on ABC but ESPN won't do that like the other 3 networks would.

I've noticed that as well. I'm around $12 bucks a month, every channel known to man. Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Prime, every tv show and movie is on it. I don't know why people pay so much for TV these days.

If you care about sports Fubo is the way to go.

If you go with them and do a little research, there's a way to get every NFL game WITHOUT paying for ST. (You can also get all of the pre/post/weekly shows for your team.) Lately I've been bouncing around the country from my recliner watching the road broadcasts of Orioles games (they don't carry MASN).

ETA: If you have younger kids I would agree with the HULU suggestion. We have older teenagers but were still prepared to go to HULU. Before making that move we used the 1 week free trial for Fubo and were hooked.

The cheapest Fubo package is like $90 a month. Crazy
The price is $90 because they are sportscentric (they don't even carry CSPAN!) and have almost all of the sports channels. It beats paying DirecTV $220 a month for 2/3 of the sports channels, HBO/Showtime, and a bunch of crap I'll never watch. You can see where they are by looking at how they handled TimeWarner. TW demanded more money, Fubo countered, and when TW didn't agree they just let their channels go. (They do not carry TNT/TBS/CNN/etc.) We get the NBA 2K version that includes League Pass and I can also AirPlay those channels off the Spectrum app using my parents' account. I have access to every channel I want.

One other thing is their add-on packages are reasonable. For $6 a month I get the 'international sports' channel which includes all Australian Football games on FSP.
