Probably well deserved.
Well, don't they want the "special needs" students to feel and be treated like the rest ? If he is most annoying he deserves the "award".

While this isn't directly related to what I am about to say, it will make sense why I think what I do.
Awhile back I had a discussion with someone after watching a video of a kid with a disability, in which a team did something special for the kid and allowed him to score a TD.
While I know it makes for a good heart warming story, personally I hate to see it. It gives them impression that the poor disabled kid is treated different and that people with disabilities never earn anything, they are given whatever because they are disabled.
So something like this, I really don't think it is a bad thing. Maybe it was all in fun. I seriously doubt a teacher would do something, that's in front of faculty and family, to humiliate the kid.
The father, if he didn't, should have maybe just talked to the teacher off to the side and asked her if it was all in fun or did she really have a problem with his child instead of turning it into a story.

Is there any doubt this loser was bullied in grade school? Anyone who overcompensates as much as he does is a sad case of insecurities, which more than likely stems from his youth. He really needs to work on his own issues versus his constant harassment of Oweo.

Not sure it's necessary/appropriate for an elementary school to have an award luncheon where they call out/embarrass kids, particularly those in special education. I know it's fun to be an arse on the OT, but the school might want to rethink this one.
I don't disagree, I'm speaking to the fact he's autistic. That information seems relevant to the story, but if it's an award everyone else has/gets, I don't have a problem with an autistic kid getting it.
The merit of the award itself is a different deal altogether. Didn't mean to sound like I was condoning it.
