Anyone else seeing a significant amount of calls lately from the "treasury" or IRS? There's a special place in hell for these robots.

I get one everyday. They used to be from heather at account services but after I fricked with them one time they stopped bothering with auto recording. It just calls and hangs up after a few seconds. I must have pissed off the scammer.

Ya few months ago.

I put them on my spam block list.

Sometimes I just pick up the phone and let it sit there awhile, hopefully annoying someone on the other end.

Sometimes those "IRS is filing law suit against you" robocalls. A lot of times it is about lowering credit card interest rates.

I've been getting random spam calls from a bunch of different states. NY, nevada, florida, etc. Not totally sure what they're for because if I answer and don't hear a person within a second I hang up and block them.

Yes indeed. Answer the phone "agent smith", then, "how did you get this number, it is embargoed for govt use only", then tell them their "number will now be automatically monitored for breach of security protocol" and to "govern yourself accordingly"...

I don't even pick up unless I recognize the number or am expecting a call. If it's from someone important that I want to talk to, they'll leave a message.

Yep. The No Call list barely makes a dent. I just don't answer them and block them if they don't leave a voicemail.

I like the ones that are trying to sell me an extended warranty for a truck I traded off 3-1/2 years ago

A lot are coming from out of the US and they'll use a number in your area code that is close to yours hoping you might think that it's someone that you know.
