Yep bfr is the future of space x. Will take place of falcon 9, dragon, and falcon heavy.

Also I suggest looking into Tesla stock. Musk just developed an electric semi that he said could tow the worlds strongest truck right now uphill. Said it handles like a sport car too

Video on why it was delayed. If you watch t made good business sense to do so.

FWIW he lost a fairly significant contract due to delays with the Falcon Heavy.

I wasn't knocking him. His innovation in this space is amazing. I wouldn't want to screw it up if I was him so double and triple checking everything is almost expected.

My comment was more towards delivery of his vehicles which is a classic over promise under deliver.

They aren't even really planning on using the heavy long term anymore.

Going with the smaller BFR

The BFR will be MUCH larger than the Falcon 9 Heavy, if it's built. From left to right, a bright dot (I forget what it's called), the Falcon 1, the Falcon 9, the Falcon 9 Heavy, and the BFR. If he can pull it off, it'll replace all of their fleet, but there are a lot of "ifs" and the BFR, ultimately, is just Musk's way to get back to Mars, his home planet.

They've come out with a scaled down version of the previously spec'd BFR which is smaller than the original BFR. Yes, bigger than falcon heavy, but smaller than BFR 1.

Sorry for the confusion.

Ahh, gotcha. Thought you were still talking about the Mars Bus version of the BFR.

Should've rolled it out a few days ago to honor the 95th bday of the crawler-transporter original designer.

There's always the danger that the whole company could vanish over night. They're incredibly cash poor for a company of their size. They rely heavily on government subsidies for survival. And at any moment, James Bond could decide to take Musk out.

If it wasn’t SpaceX, it’d be NASA...which is 100% government. So what’s it matter?

I agree. But subsidy is out of control. Recycle a bunch of 1960s buck Rogers talk and you're hailed as some sort of folk hero. 120/bbl oil shuts a lot of this up.

Only thing SpaceX is recycling is rockets, which is actually a massive achievement in space tech. Hate Musk all you want for his empty promises on Tesla, but SpaceX is legit.

Musk would eliminate a ton of hate with all of his ventures if they were even remotely on time.

Tesla and SpaceX are rumored to be combining. Largely financial reasons, but it will be a shame to see TSLA take down SpaceX

Big Falcon Rocket, or colloquially Big fricking Rocket.
