Is it bad if I'm rooting for this? It would be quite the experience.

Elon Musk, SpaceX's CEO, told reporters on Tuesday there will be the equivalent of 4 million pounds of TNT on the launchpad. That's as much explosive power as a tactical-grade nuclear weapon.

Well then...

This is all a cover to test a nuke.

Not if right after liftoff it tips over and flies into your condo.

Or gets up pretty high and then falls down on top of you.

Good luck man.

It will be considered successful if it get far enough away from the pad before it explodes.

How much damage are we talking about if it obliterates itself ON the pad?

They will have to completely rebuild the pad and would set FH back a year atleast to rebuild. Don’t think there other pads are big enough to handle the rocket.

Took about a year for them to repair a pad that a single falcon 9 did when it blew up on the pad.

This is 3 of them strapped together.

It will destroy the pad and will take about a year just to get the pad accessories built again for another launch.

Liftoff is great but I want to be watching when the two boosters return and land simultaneously.
