I get the feeling that Musk will end up like Howard Hughes, maybe not with the Kleenex boxes and milk bottle full of piss, but with some huge scam/scandal that pretty much makes him an afterthought.

I've been saying this to myself for years.
It looks like he's really going off the deep end here with destroying Tesla.

Would be something for him to go off the rails like Nikola Tesla did. fricking pigeons and making wild claims like he invented a death ray.

You conspiracy theorists that think mankind hasn’t been to the moon are just amazingly ignorant

They're sending a Japanese billionaire and a bunch of "artists"?
Don't we have like a thousand sci-fi movies that tell us that sending non-astronauts into space is always a terrible idea? I feel like the biologist or the author is always the first one to die in those mixed crew films.

Private space flight is being pursued by a lot of big players in the space flight industry and you will be surprised how widespread it’s going to become. There are real-life visions of “bus-tours” being given to people who want to fly into orbit.

We're not going to expand, at least not beyond the few planets nearby. It's just too difficult. If it were that doable, we'd have aliens visiting by now.
I don't think you understand / appreciate the difference between traveling to a nearby Planet versus traveling to a different solar system

Even with all the technology today, there will not be one full unedited video of any trip around the moon.
