Why? Because you don’t prefer it doesn’t mean it’s the same for everyone else.

I’ve flown a couple United flights. 2 hour flights to Denver from Houston. It was the same experience that I had with SW.

SW employee posted on Reddit that people are unlikely to get their bags in under 30 days.

We just rebooked a delta flight for $1700 one way to get home to Houston. If Southwest does not reimburse, I will throw hands at any sonic location

Over christmas, my 80 year relative joked about renting a wheelchair, and having his young girlfriend roll him up to the counter so they could board in the first group for their hawaiian vacation flights. and he said there were about 20 others doing the same thing that stood up to put their bags in the overhead bins..

united for mrs. biscuits and myself.

Southwest is by far the largest carrier at MSY, why would you be shocked to find a lot of people on a Louisiana based discussion forum fly Southwest?

Houston as well. When I’m flying, I’m flying out of Hobby. Get on, get off.

I guess I’m too easily satisfied? Idk

I seriously doubt SW is going to give you $1700

Or not stuck in Houston, Denver, Dallas, Nashville, Chicago or Vegas for the last 5 days...

My in laws are driving 16 hours back to Orlando. Its not the end of the world but in law parents are 73 years old and sister in law has to work the entire time while they're driving.

I'm all for the "expect shitty travel during storms" crowd, but this is absolutely absurd. In Laws weren't going to get out of Dallas until Saturday. American had some flights but they were $2500 one way.

Have you seen the pictures of luggage at every single one of the above airports?

Would you be "satisfied" with that?

I hate government regulations, but they really need to start making airlines cover the cost of expenses for people that have to book on other airlines.

Wrong . We need less government. Look at the backlash. The free market will decide if Southwest survives

SW isn’t going to give you shite.

It depends what they consider reasonable. I don’t think $850 per person over the holidays booking the day before isn’t unreasonable.

They get to qualify what’s “reasonable”.

Again. You’re probably not getting shite from them in this massive clusterfrick. They will come up with some qualifier to not reimburse you appropriately.

I fly 2-3 times a month, sometime more, most of the flights are on SW and I have had no major issues, certainly not like what is going on now.

I do not fly out of Baton Rouge because of my experiences, some can be attributed to the # of flights or small planes that fly out, but to think that other airlines have it down and SW does not is a wrong.

My last experience was flying AA and when I got to DFW the plane was parked "6 feet away" for 15 mins according to the pilot due to an obstruction in the way of gate. This caused me to be late for my connection, when I finally got on plane, the plane had a maintenance issue and I was delayed by 6 hours.....at DFW.....AA's Hub.

Each time I have tried against my best judgement to try another carrier, I regret it. SW is not perfect, but in my experience they are more dependable. The assigned seats deal maybe isn't for everyone, but I get to airport in plenty of time and A-List so it's not a big deal for me.

WN used to be pretty decent about voluntarily paying out "inconvenience" fees but like everything else, people abused it and that's another reason we can't have nice things
