re: Southern Law School: Benefit to the State or a Mediocre Institution That Harms LA?

Is SULC essentially a school for LSU Law rejects or people who can only do an evening program since LSU lacks one?
Wouldn't it make more sense to put the 2nd public law school at Louisiana Tech?
For a state with a small mediocre population, it has 4 law schools. And all four of them are literally in the same region.

There was a time several decades ago when many African American Southern grads were socially promoted and deemed to have “passed” the bar admissions test even though the bar examiners for various sections failed them. It was done because so few grads of that school could pass and get admitted to practice, that the LSBA would have remained 99% white. You do not have to believe it, but it is true and did happen.

The latter, not the former.

Which law school you graduate from does not mean you are smarter than the next law school graduate. Passing the BAR means you will become an attorney. Generally, southern students writing is not on par with the rest of the state law schools. If you went to law school, then you’d know who makes the most money in the grand scheme.
As far as government attorneys are concerned, they get shite for pay. You get what you pay for.

I’ve graded bar exams. It’s pretty easy to spot the Southern Law grad. It’s even easier to spot the out of state grad

How do you get chosen to do that?

Just because they think it doesn’t make it reality.

True, but all these frivolous lawsuits still have to be defended against. It’s a tremendous drain of resources, and costs all drivers.

I know a female bartender who graduated SU law last year and sat for the bar exam shortly after. She was utterly shocked when she didn’t pass.
I wasn’t. She’s dumb as a post.

I’ve said it before.
Sometimes you see “bottom tier” lawyers absolutely fillet their supposedly better educated brethren.
You start measuring your opponents by where they went to school, and you are in for some arse whippings.
