Where do you think college educated people with good jobs that allow them to post on TD all day live in Shreveport?

Yes, because it is oh so far from things to do in the rest of Bossier and Shreveport.

The public schools in North Bossier are better than most you'll find in Shreveport (unless your kid can do the magnet route). If the OP will have kids in school it is something to consider.

This is the truth as well. Going from Apollo Elementary while living in NBC to private school when we moved to Shreveport added about $5,500 a year to our budget.

While these are both great schools on this side of the river, Shreveport's options are definitely limited without magnet or private schools.

The best school is in the worst neighborhood. Classic Shreveport...

Im looking at Southfield or South Highlands for the future.

Right now Im just trying to find a decent daycare without a 1 year waiting list.

I'm not from here, so how bad/good is AC Steere? It gets decent grades online. It's right around the corner from my house, so it would be so nice and convenient if my daughter could just go there.

Otherwise we will try the South Highlands route.

No shite. We just got into First United Methodist downtown after waiting 6 months. Only reason we got in was because we are members and I think that helped out alot.

From what I understand, AC Steere is a great school. That would be ridiculously convenient for you.

We have been frequenting their playground/park lately.

It was a determining factor in buying our house.

Thankfully we had a good friend get pregnant a few months before us, they told us to apply to a bunch of day cares as soon as we knew we were expecting.

Ours go to Noel Methodist Center. The big ballers send their kids to E. Rensey out in Ellerbe.

I was PUMPED until I saw that its a daily 11:15A flight, which I will never ever be on.

I have no problem taking that flight. Normally I take the 7:05 AM out and the last flight in but my schedule is generally flexible enough to take whichever flight I want

I think the waiting list there is like 2+ years.

Dont shoot me, but we checked out Evangel and it was extremely nice. Wife is wanting to get in there badly.

Calvary was so-so, Broadmoor Methodist was meh.
