I'm not a theologian but I haven't read anything in that bible that prohibits this. I also haven't read a convincing argument in this thread.

Interesting, I would say claiming they come from God is nonsensical because it implies absolutism. Any cursory understanding of human history would quickly dispel you of the notion that human morality is either consistent or absolute.
Instinctual morality is almost certainly a trait that was, and still is, naturally selected as a favorable survival trait. Specifically, most immoral acts are acts of selfishness which would result in being expelled from early hunter gather packs and certainly be a death sentence. We observe this behavior today in nearly all other mammalian species.

Ivf in humans is playing god but artificial insemination of animals is a-ok. Make it make sense.
Eh let’s see:
1) God has dominion over man, man has dominion over everything else (see Genesis).
2) man has a soul, animals do not.

This thread is a pretty good read if you’re wondering why religion is dying

This is completely anecdotal, but I've noticed in the past year or two, there seems to be more and more younger people joining the church than there was 10 years ago. At least in my small-ish city. I'd love to see some statistics but I can't find them.
I'm curious as to which comment type is pointing to dying religion?

You didn’t really interact yesterday when I pressed. I’d love to talk more with physics guy, but I’m with the family all day today.
My views:
Jesus Christ is the greatest example of a human who ever walked the earth.
He is also God incarnate.
Believing in him and following his path for us leads to ultimate human thriving.
It’s not restrictive for those who truly know him. It’s freeing.
Lastly, the happiest Christians are largely not Southern Baptists, but come from older expressions of the faith.

But an instinctual morality is relative. Are you saying God's moral authority is both relative and objective?

How can a creature go to heaven if it has no soul?

You’re taking what it says about slavery out of context and I don’t care to explain in length about what it says about slavery in the Bible.
I don't need you to explain something you don't fully grasp.
If the Bible contains instructions on what to do with slaves in certain contexts, then it condones slavery. There really isn't much nuance to it, unless you're speaking on chattel slavery vs. other kinds, which is really just splitting hairs.
