great area man - grew up in Silverhill for a time and spent a lot of time on the pier fishing, cast netting and crabbing.

hope you get through ok.

Lost power in north Louisiana when the storm began. Just got power back. Thank God for generator, power bank and not being during the summer when this usually happens. Dog wouldn't come out of the closet until lights came back on.

Yeah I broke down and put a new Genny on credit. This one is flex fuel though so hoping it lasts

ETA: dual fuel.

Hoping to just run it on propane and not gum up the works

This one went by about half mile west of us. We listened to it go by. It was crazy and the RDF behind it scared the shite out of my stepmom. We are going to see if we have tree damage or if any of our box stands have damage in the morning.

We were lucky on this one.

We’re going to see the difference in philosophy between NWS offices for squall line tornadoes when this thing crosses the state line. NWS Jackson has been blanket issuing tornado warnings for the squall line. NWS Birmingham doesn’t typically do that. They issue tornado warnings only when something truly warrants a warning.

In Reservoir Brandon Mississippi and we got hit. Everything seems to be okay though. I know we have a bunch of trees down. Reports of a person being trapped in their house about a mile or so away

Sabi, you are right across the reservoir from me. Hope you don’t have any personal damage.

this may be one of the more interesting things i've ever read in one of these weather threads but it makes perfect sense. never considered different offices doing different things like that. always just think of NWS as NWS
