This is the biggest problem. For some reason softball umpires are just calling the out instead of using any kind of judgment. Coaches know this and that's why catchers are doing this.

Everyone saying that she's committed to LSUA are wrong. She is not still camping with D1 schools if she has settled on LSUA. LSUE would be more believable. I know that the coach at LSUA is interested in her but she hasn't committed this early if she has a chance to play D1 and she definitely does.

Yes. Grand Lake vs Mangham. Grand Lake catcher hit Mangham batter tp end game. I know who the Grand Prairie coaches travel ball for but not sure if the PP catcher played for them.

i don't see she's committed on her profile.

well that wouldn't be really true either way bc you still continue to build relationships with those d1 schools knowing you are targeting them still after the juco route.
Also, she has 69 as her overhand velo. So i'd say its extremely fair to say her throw would be in that 63-67 range easily.

No the biggest problem is the coaches/parents trying to get around the reasons a rule exist and teaching their kids to do this.
Then next I'll give you the umpires, who shouldn't let the obvious attempts at doing this be rewarded.
Majority of this comes from the internet (tik tok, YouTube, twitter) where they have videos of stuff like this working. Then all of a sudden it pops up constantly in youth sports. Whenever games were being won and lost at the college level bc of their terrible obstruction rule, it was posted everywhere. Next thing you know, coaches are constantly arguing obstruction on every play because the bag was "blocked." They watch these videos, think they know the rules, and then teach it.

LSUA is not JUCO. She is not committed there at this time.

They didn’t have to take out a 3rd mortgage on travel ball. Family = Loaded

I think it’d be pretty genius marketing for the softball helmet manufacturer to get in touch with the girl that got hit and use her in a commercial or promotion. If you can get hit at point blank range and still be perfectly fine what better advertisement for a helmet?

I wouldn't call a concussion perfectly fine.

She didn’t get a concussion and never left the game. The twitter chic that reposted this was wrong and wasn’t even at the game

Ahh ok. Great for her if thats the case. But she should have left the game after drop kicking the catcher and then punching her until somebody was able to physically remove her. Catcher should have also had balls thrown at her head every time she came up to bat. Girls tend to not take revenge in that kind of way though.

So what do ya'll think of a football player taking his helmet off an hitting an opposing player in the head with it?

There are and were for this game 3 umpires.

Any umpire with eyes could have made the right call here. He should be reprimanded. It’s not even debatable.
