This has reality show written all over it. The name is baked right in: "The Firing Squad".

The inmate pits the guards against each other in a series of challenges and eliminates contenders one by one until he selects his final three executioners. Instead of handing out roses he can hand out bullets.

Moore’s attorneys have asked the state Supreme Court to delay his death while another court determines if either available method is cruel and unusual punishment.

Moore was a coke addict that robbed a c-store, shot one man to death, and attempted to murder another.

But we're worried if his own death by gun is cruel.

I have no idea why those convicted of Murder 1 have these many rights. They are savage animals who have demonstrated a willing ability to murder in cold blood.

I hope they use a minigun and shoot aim for the stomach.

Even if they don't still gut shoot him and leave him for the buzzards.

I don't see how anybody can argue that instant death by any means is cruel.

If the executioner kept a sharp blade on that guillotine, you were dead before your head even began it's trajectory downward into the basket once that blade severed the spinal nerve.

Anyway, that's what the tour guide at the Tower of London told us, but really, how would he know?

I think you’re pain free but the brain has blood and oxygen for a bit and keeps ticking momentarily.

But I am no doctor nor executioner so I could be way off

No. Traditional firing squads have 1 person with a blank and the others with live rounds. That way, they could all think maybe they didn't really kill the person if they had the blank.

Yep. I'd not want a 5 man firing squad with only one guy with a live round trying to take me out.

If he misses by just a bit and doesn't hit the heart, then it could prolong the death. But, when 4 of the 5 have live rounds, it pretty much guarantees a quick death.

I feel like they could easily rig a machine to fire multiple guns at a person's head and chest instead of relying on the accuracy of humans.

An axe worked for hundreds of years. Simple, inexpensive, and quick.

But if we want to do it "humanely" I would give them fentanyl. Its quite effective as well. And if they have any organs that are in good condition they should be donated.

If it were my decision I would let the condemned be killed with the same manor they used to be convicted.

-Shoot someone, firing squad.
-Beat someone to death, get beaten to death.
-Kill them while driving. get strapped to the front of a car and driven into a tree.

And this is especially true for the sadistic bastards that love to torture their victims and get off hearing them scream in agony.

Seems as though he'll be getting the same death as his victim:

Fire at will! Or....Richard. Just fire!

Truth be told, if I had the option, I'd rather death by firing squad than frying in a metal chair.

I’d still want more than a 3-man firing squad with 2 live rounds fired. They haven’t used this method in a while, so the shooters really aren’t used to being face to face to someone while shooting them accurately in the heart with the intent to kill on one round.

The more the merrier if I’m destined to die by firing squad.

No doubt. Firing squad would be a good way to go.

My dad used to always tell people he was staunchly opposed to the electric chair but was 100% in favor of electric bleachers lol

With the cost of bullets these days that is way too expensive of an option. A good hemp rope from a nice limber oak tree branch that has some bounce would do just fine. Environmentally friendly and reusable just like the environmentalist like.

I don’t understand why hanging went away. With enough drop you’ll die instantly. Much more effective than the electric chair.
