I was confused for a second… I thought I was posting in a “I moved the family to St Tammany” thread.

Plenty of good neighborhoods

U Club, Lexington, Harveston...???

One thing that concerns me is all three of these neighborhoods have just one entrance and one exit with UC and Lexington dumping onto Hwy 30 (no lights). We are one natural disaster away from a SERIOUS issue.

Easy access to I10 via HWY 30

Easy yes, but close no. It's 25 minutes away.

My relevant addition to the thread is that I took World Geography my freshman year at LSU.

While I agree, TJ isn’t quite anchor grocery material.

I doubt he wants to do a rouses, so not sure what’s left unless he does the impossible and convinces HEB or Publix to start a turf war with the Rouse family. A boy can dream….

It’s been discussed for at least 15 years. I’m sure that it will eventually be sold to DR Horton or something unless they time the market perfectly.

Seems like they missed several opportunities to have at least some residential development when the economy was stronger and rates were at historic lows.

I don’t think those are the same developer. Probably why they are moving forward. I know there is a big one in the works on the other side of Nicholson close to the levee. Will be a year or so before the houses start construction.

But yeah..Nicholson needs to be widened, and they need to be very careful and selective on where they put in traffic lights. They really shouldn’t be adding any more if they can help it.

Agreed it isn’t necessarily close, but it is nice to be able to avoid BR traffic if you are trying to get out of town.

They have already built the road connecting UC to Harveston/Bluebonnet. They just need to open it. Apparently, the state doesn’t want it open until they build the roundabout at the Harveston Bluebonnet intersection.

Good luck with the child molesters in that corner of the state.
