He was calm and creepy telling the 911 operator about the masked men in his home doing the crime. The 911 call was like 30 minutes and it sounds like his heart rate was around 40bpp while telling them his family has been axed.
ETA: If my memory is right, he also cut himself in the stomach or something, and claims he passed out

Have you never watched a horror movie? You must slow the heart rate and breathing, otherwise the bad guy gets you. Sounds like this brave individual JUST barely escaped with his life.

In his story, the bad guy did get him. He fought, was stabbed, passed out and then woke up smoked a few cigs and called 911. It was a South African gang that did it, according to him. I think this also happened in the nicest country club community in Cape Town.
