You live in the AP If you piss a deputy off, word gets around quickly. You will be a troublemaker and a dickhead, even if you are just going through the drive-thru at KFC.

Your neighbor that cries must be an old AP named person that are all politically connected. You will not win against the AP Good ole boy network.

Look on Marketplace for a trailer.

I guess I'll just get a trailer and that'll solve the problem.

Best thing to do. Just buy a trailer and your problem is solved. Your kid can then ride all he wants whenever he wants. Id probably put pipes on it to get back at the assholes that called the cops.

There was a kid riding a 4 wheeler around our neighborhood, it was loud and annoying, but I was a kid once and would have done anything for one of those. But after the 3rd hour I was ready for a nap, I'm rehabbing from a bad injury and need rest.

I grabbed a cold Gatorade, rolled myself out to the curb and flagged him down, he was going by every 6 minutes. He stopped, he took the cold drink, we talked about his toy, he just got it for Christmas, then I explained the law and how to have courtesy and respect for others. He was a nice kid, 'yes sir' nice, and I have not heard that noisy thing again.

Consider yourself lucky that they gave you a 2nd warning instead of writing some tickets when you didn’t listen the first time.

Take the kid out to the spillway. There’s an area specifically reserved for ATV’s and dirt bikes. Its a pretty nice area that he can ride around without you having to worry about traffic citations, trespassing tickets, or getting hit by a car

Now that it’s been documented, if something happens the OP’s civil exposure is trough the roof. I would sell the 4 wheeler.

No one wants to hear a 4 Wheeler riding through their neighborhood. Show some class OP.

Your son is an idiot for being trashy riding on the neighborhood roads. Apple doesn’t fall from the tree in which you continue to condone that behavior and see nothing wrong.

Is a 14 year old driving a four wheeler on the road going to affect anyone but himself?

ETA: It was a rhetorical question folks. Of course he is.

They can and will take them for driving on private roads. I doubt you can be attested though. Cops make up shite all the time to scare people.

Yeah but the neighbor ain’t gotta be all up in OPs bidness, unless some other factors exist that I don’t know about.

They have warned you twice, and your neighbor is going to call them again the minute he/she hears the 4 wheeler crank….do you really want to “frick around and find out” what they will do next time?
