It's supply and demand.
Deal with it.
The problem with millennials is somewhere along the way someone told them life is supposed to be fair.

Because it's a job in an industry I enjoy. Job satisfaction >>>> money

hmm. Never thought of that. I'll get started on that right away.

Or buy a starter home like I did when I was 20 and upgrade from there.
Mind if I ask how old you are now?

Maybe they should publish a shocking chart on how garbage men and secretaries can't afford to buy homes in Manhattan.

You don't have to have the same level of home as people well into their careers.
Ding, ding, ding. I am 30 and see people my age every day that build a house that is 3000 sq ft with finishes that drive the cost up to $150/sq ft.

It's always your fault.
Never mind that the baby boomers are the biggest strain to the economy since forever. Bunch of old leaches.

Then quit bitching about how expensive things are. You chose to earn less and enjoy what you do. There is always a trade off.

It does, however, have everything to do with the baby boomer's destruction of the housing market.
LIBERALS destroyed the housing market.

Millennials are not the "Me" generation, that was the 70s kids.
While the '70s kids and even before that have their share of the blame it starts before that. People started moving off of the farm into cities and 9 to 5 jobs. Their kids didn't have to work like they did and they were ok with that. All parents want their kids to have it better than they did.
Skip over the baby boomers as they had it better than their parents, much more spoiled. Lets just roll this on down to the millenials. Overly spoiled, don't know how to work and due to liberal pansies they expect a pat on the back for even doing a sloppy job. This last thing I know for a fact since my friends in management positions, of which I once was, are constantly bitching. My 3 sons are supervisors at different levels and 2 of them have had to go to special training to learn how to manage these people.
So far the mellenials ARE the most "Me" generation. I can't wait to see how bad their kids are!!

Here's a shocker, most people who work in NYC don't make enough to buy a place there.

then don't complain about not being able to afford something if you take a shite salary because of "job satisfaction". I don't fault you for your choice, I fault you for complaining about the unintended consequences of your choice (if you, in point of fact, complain).

good, because you will be closer to attaining the material things you want in life.
and you wonder why people rag on your generation

I'll say this abut the Student Loan debt outpacing other debt, I know a bunch of guys that would take out student loans so they didn't have to work in college and needless to say, they are paying for it now. Not saying that didnt happen 30 years ago, but I think there is more access to student loans today.
