Someone Attempting to Sue McDonald's For Putting Cheese On Their Quarter-Pounder

Two Florida residents, Cynthia Kissner and Leonard Werner, had one too many cheese slices on their burger when they wanted it plain. So they did as any reasonable person would do... Just kidding, they didn't. They took it to court
quote:
Leonard Werner was the instigator. He allegedly stopped wanting cheese on his Quarter Pounders for dietary reasons. (And a cheese-less Quarter Pounder is that much better?!) After making the switch to plain burgers, he was upset that he was still being charged the same amount.
quote:
At the drive-through window, the options are listed as: Quarter Pounder with Cheese ($4.19) and Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese ($6.19). The McDonald's app allows for customizing, but Werner felt compelled to purchase the burger with cheese and was distressed that he had to remove it without a price deduction. He took his complaints to a lawyer, and the lawsuit was put into action
quote:
A man by the name of Andrew Lavin decided to file this lawsuit
He busted out his big boy work to find out that the cheese costs a cool .20-.40 cents extra. In Lavin's eyes, this was enough for a lawsuit. He came up with a 32-page lawsuit, claiming that the plaintiffs "suffered injury" because they were "overcharged."
quote:
Lavin also claimed that McDonald's violated the anti-trust laws by not explicitly stating that cheese comes on the Quarter Pounders. The argument was that they were "overcharged and compelled to pay for unwanted cheese

Distressed? Spending 3 seconds to peel the cheese off must be a horrify experience. I bet he will have PTSD for the rest of his life.

If you have a complicated order, just go inside and order.

I would imagine McD will just settle because it will be easier and cheaper then making this into a media circus. Lawyer wants the easy payday.

Hopefully gets thrown put and the shitheads and their lawyer have to pay court charges

Yeah but in this case the media circus is making fun of the people suing

You don't understand dude
1) American cheese is fricking disgusting
2) It doesn't peel off easily
3) I've endured this nightmare my entire life and I fully support this lawsuit and may see if they'll let me file an amicus brief

These two Floridians and McD's employees need to settle this at Sonic. No lawyer, no court, no judge.

It is BS that they don't have a price without cheese...in the old days they charged a price for burgers without cheese and added for cheese.

If McDonalds settles, I'm gonna file a suit because they use cubed ice instead of the ice pellets like canes uses. This causes me distress because they are harder to chew

If you follow this lawsuit long enough, I would be willing to bet they settle. It's the same reason why walmart allows people to return old, rotten food because it's easier to just take the L then cause a commotion and get legal involved.

Who told you to put the cheese on? Did I tell you to put the cheese on? I didn’t tell you to put the cheese on.
You people with the cheese, It never ends.
