A few months later same thing needed me to fill out some basic EHS information and JHA. I responded back at that time that they were more than capable of filling out the form since I was clueless on how to do their job but that they need to get with our contact in order to get the right tools from the mill since they screwed the same job up last time and that I wouldn't have to step into the PM role if they could actually be found onsite at the time the work was being performed.

See, Perrydawg understands the nuances of a successful long game.

Why are you assuming it’s about you?

Take the high road, like you did. Good Answer. Let that person expose themselves to be an arse, and not you.

I'm taking over a report for him and the format had changed and I wanted to make sense of it so I asked him to explain it to make sure I was understanding things right.

The IM within seconds after he left my desk was along the lines of "I got to teach people to wipe their own arse now"

I'm not entirely blameless. Still a little bummed thought

God forbid you try to do your job right. Your co-worker sounds like an arse.

I did that once to a piece of shite client I had. I was mortified when I sent it. Now I’m glad I sent it.

Dude immediately responded "ah, I meant to send that to someone else.... I wasn't talking about you," even though they very obviously were. I just said "no worries, it's been a long day." Not sure really how else to handle it

Maybe do a little better at work next time so your coworkers don't think you suck

Was just being a dick for fun, move on its really not that big a deal.
