I don’t have a clue what I would cook on one

I have a cast iron pan for bacon on my grill

I do agree if you’re not cooking in volume, a large cast iron skillet is essentially the same thing. Cooking for a family of 5, it’s not hard to fill it up. I usually cook on 1/2 and use the other 1/2 to keep stuff warm while I’m cooking the rest.

Burgers? Nope, open flame.
I love an open flame burger but a smash burger beats it.
They are great for cooking for a large family or party. Great for lots of breakfast. If your going to be using 2 or 3 skillets in the kitchen, it's easier, less cleanup.

But I do agree they take up a lot of space. Maybe become and OT Baller and get a bigger outdoor space.

I remember starting a thread here when the OG Blackstones were on fire sale from Walmart for like 200 bucks. That's when I got mine and has been well worth it.

Smoke steaks in trager. Sear steak on both side on blackstone...pure greatness

Cook big breakfast for 8 easily, all eat at same time...eggs pancakes bacon has browns etc. NO STICKING

Blackened redshirt for 10 in mere minutes

And hibachi dinner for all is great!

No, that's just a few. Can you imagine attempting any of that on your stove?

that's a griddle for children. It's way to small

Plenty big enough for 2 people and it’s a very good griddle. Coyote makes solid products.

Not sure what you are talking about.

We downsized our house when last one left for college. Got rid of everything except green egg. Love it. Grill, smoke, oven fired pizzas. I have a cast iron griddle that i throw on for smash burgers, bacon.

I think I'll eventually get a PK300, simple and absolutely durable. Also doesn't need much space or charcoal. I sous vide then finish steaks on a cast iron skillet but would like to use a hot grill every once in a while. I like to make kabobs and my own gyros too but hate smelling up the house.

Omelets and hash browns are a weekly staple on ours. So good.

Thanks man. I saved for 3 years when I moved to get that kitchen. Was worth it. U shaped, 33” griddle, 36” pellet smoker. Big sink and a 24” fridge. Bar height and hangover on the outside.

We spend a long time out there.

It’s for the Poors that don’t have a proper chefs kitchen with commercial ventilation in it so they have to do it outside

A decent amount of the restaurants you go to use flattop instead of open flame grills. You can cook a lot of different things damn near perfect if you know what you're doing.

I found one at the curb a few weeks ago. Cleaned it up and I used it a few times per week for a couple of months. Got tired of it after that and sold it.

I’m not going to apologize for not wanting to sweat my arse off before breakfast or rationalize cooking outside because I don’t like being around my family. If you want to that’s fine and I really don’t care.
