Somebody explain the outdoor griddle phenomenon to me.

Friend of mind just got a Blackstone and is really proud of it.
It’s expensive. It takes up a lot of space on his patio. And it’s a griddle. Nothing outdoorsy about the flavor… no wood, no charcoal, no smoke. It’s a griddle. I have one in my pantry that I use for pancakes. I don’t get it.

If you only use one for pancakes I totally understand why you wouldn’t get it
Because you’re a retard

Some people might not be,
But I’m with you, brother.

That reminds me I need to go get one of those things.

My biggest issue with them is they’re outside and it’s fricking miserable out there 80% of the year down here.

Why?
I’m not sure when or why I would ever use it?
Burgers? Nope, open flame.
Steaks? Same.
Chicken? Same - but more distance from flame.
Pork? Same - but more distance from flame.
I honestly do not know why I would need to cook anything else outside.

Yep, and you're standing over a 400 degree griddle.

The Blackstone is a cooking machine
Got one a month ago and I’m on it all the time

Much like a bass boat, I've already bought and got rid of it. Donated it to the KCs.

Weird complaint
Do you have an indoor smoker or BBQ pit

That’s a retarded comparison. My indoor griddle does everything a black stone does but in A/C.

Steaks are better on the blackstone.

Thanks for informing me of a new phenomenon I never heard of

It’s easier for me for so much stuff
I might not have as sweet as an indoor setup as you judging by your post history though

I never got it either. Food/cooking trends are cool but weird.

Do you even Smashburger, bro?

That and no matter how much you season and cover it, moisture will find its way onto the cast iron. That’s the only downside for me and having to clean the shite out of it and reseason after every cook

I just have a griddle thing that replaces one side of the range grates. I actually hate my range. But I do have a solid vent hood and that’s half the battle.
I’ll feel differently when I move to Colorado in a few years.
