Ships moving through the Panama Canal from the Atlantic to the Pacific move in a general north to south direction.
I think what you meant to say was that ships moving through the canal from Atlantic to pacific have to go in a general west to east direction.

The direction of travel is generally along North/South axis

It’s NW to SE.
If you are trying to “did you know” someone, you tell them that traffic going from the Atlantic to the Pacific travels east.

The sound made when the word "Exxon" is spoken sounds very similar to the Japanese phrase for "car won't go."
That's why when Esso changed its corporate name to Exxon years ago, all of its gas stations in Japan kept the name "Esso."
And the word "Esso" is derived from the initials of the company's original parent corporation, "Standard Oil (of New Jersey)" when many people referred to the company as "S.O." Thus, Esso was born.

The computer on board the Apollo 11 lunar lander Eagle had a 32KB hard disk and 4KB of RAM.
Sounds like a Digital Equipment Corp. PDP11, used for a lot of process control work back in the 70's and 80's. Probably programmed in assembler and FORTRAN.

In a group of only 23 people, there's a 50% chance that two of them share a birthday.
It approaches 100% probability in groups of around 50+.
Confirm with checking an NFL team's 53 man roster.

Thinking of this and the female mosquito fact, I wonder what all humans do behaviorally that we have no clue about. The mites aren’t aware of their patterns of behavior, yet we as humans can assess that it’s a gruesome experience. I’m sure there’s plenty about us that would make a higher life form cringe.
Like murdering your own child as a form of birth control? I’d agree with you
