That seems to be the case.

I started a thread about LFF the other day because on their website they say they are for less government... Which I thought was funny..

Then they can ban it in Monroe and Shreveport. But gimme my FanDuel in SoLA.

That's the entire point of local option.

I'm cool if some parishes don't want it. But if some do, WTF does the state try to not accommodate that?

The LFF stands for government-enforced morality. Their definition of morality, of course.

Not really weird...just the religious fanatics that adhere to everything Louisiana Family Forum puts out.

Why would you make internet gambling legal if your constituents don’t have the internet

It will never cease to amaze me how a “conservative state” always has the government telling me what I can and can’t do

All these little sports nerds who live at home and are addicted to fantasy shouldn’t be wasting their disability check at the casino

this state is so far behind others, it's embarrassing.

Can't bet on a football game here but, you can drive across the border to Ms and do it.

Can't play daily fantasy football here but, if you lived an hour north, you can.

Timely bump on this thread. La legislature working on fantasy taxing parameters. We should be up and running by August. Sports gambling will be on the ballot this November.

There isn't even a bill made yet in the special session. How could they want to restrict something when there isn't a bill on taxation yet?

I saw this was bumped. LA passed the regulation in May, but still are waiting for the taxation in June's session

Why should draft kings, an out of state company, be taxed at 8 percent when your local mom and pop bar running video poke be taxed at 28 percent?

I can get behind fantasy sports but it needs to be taxed fairly. It’s not like they are going to reduce gaming taxes so the only solution is to tax draft kings at a fair rate.

If anyone has a problem with this please explain reasoning other than just downvoting. Thamks
