Just passing along what I'm hearing. Frankly, I think private clubs should be able to discriminate. I've heard the Baton Rouge Country Club has non-White members. I don't have a dog in this hunt. But, I'm just letting you know some folks figure they should be members.

Im guessing the number of black folks in BR that want or could afford a country club membership is pretty low

Of course. And, I assume the people talking about this can afford the membership. But, they haven't been asked and they assume they should've received an invitation by now.

I don't think that's how it works. I'm sure if they can afford it, nobody will turn them away.

Why? So, why do working people have to pay for something but others don’t? Who pays for the ones who can’t afford it?
With that logic, why don’t you open up your home to a few who can’t afford it?

You don’t just randomly receive an invitation

You have to get three active members to write you recommendation letters and then meet the board before being approved

I don't know about now, but in the 80's they didn't allow Italians as members.

I saw this discussion on my Facebook. Local Baton Rouge community lady kicking up dust wanting to talk about "integrating the Baton Rouge Country Club". Almost 100% people of the community replying to the thread. Strange, they all agreed but none had any desire to actually go there.

WTF is integration? I mean last I checked, if you got the dollars and you really like golf, you can sign up at these private places no problem. Seems to me the country clubs are waaay more about dollars than race. I have a friend who is a member and he's black. But he probably makes $500k+ a year and has done so for so long that he doesn't understand normal people problems.

BRCC admitting black members hasn’t been allowed until somewhat recently

They should shut their whore mouths.

77% of black children born out of wedlock

Most AA who start making money leave black neighborhoods

Focus on that shite rather than score keeping on membership at a private club.

The priorities of these woke folks is completely fricked up
