This is what people are saying, but is it guaranteed?

How do you hurt the US? You attack its financial institution. I am not saying I want this to happen at all and it is very unlikely it will, but let's just say it does. Some terrorist group (whether funded by a government or some other group) attacks in some way that really has an impact on us financially.

Also, we live in a global economy right? So the goal is for manufacturing to be done in the US. What happens when countries like China are no longer depending on us for business? How much more likely does war with them become?

What if there isn't enough people willing to work manufactoring jobs?

I heard your retirement funds have taken a bit of a hit.
Really?

Surprise to me. I hedged my bets long ago and ride past such bumps with little to no concern.

And actually, the correct answer is to pull some money from the reserve and invest it while the market is down and laugh about how to enjoy the future profits.

But that would require having EARNED and SAVED money in the past by doing much of what you sneer about.

Let us all know if and when you can work your way into such a position.

This Boomer could lose 90% of what I have and I will still die being wealthier than you will ever even sniff in your pathetic, social media addicted, friendless, latte drinking life. This amuses me.
I think I will have Ruth's Chris delivered for dinner....
Loser.

I just said it and I have the money to back it up. My advisor is doing just fine.

No one questioning me is either well off enough to understand nor wise enough to handle money right if they had any.

So there you punk arse little bitch.

Hey, they changed the car registration deal Jan 1. (For out of state cars coming into LA)
They just charge a fee based on the value of the car now. Much cheaper than in the past.

Just an FYI

Most boomers have likely reduced their stock market risk as they near or neared retirement and should be, in large part, immune to the stock market swings.
