Can you get a refund from the public school system in new Iberia?

No. It is either G2 or S1.
How do you know which of the 2 gold balls in box 1 you pulled?

Ah i see, the actions aren't independent - tricky wording -

Why is the correct answer 2/3 ?

Think of it this way people.
Instead of 2 balls, each box has 50 balls.
One has all gold, one has all silver, one has 49 silver and one gold.
If you draw a gold ball and have to pick another from the same box, the probability that it is going to be gold again is huge. Because the probability that you grabbed the one gold ball from the box of 49 silver is not good. Just because there are two boxes left, and drawing from one will definitely be gold while drawing from the other will definitely be silver, doesn't mean it's a 50/50 chance.
The same logic applies to the scenario with only two balls per box, just not on as grandiose a scale.

I understand the explanation, but it isn't factually accurate. G1 or G2 is in your hand or you are picking S1 out of the box. There aren't 3 possibilities at that point. Only 2, but one has better odds
You pick a ball. That ball is gold. That means you either picked G1, G2, or G3, agreed?
Now, we don't know which one you picked yet, we just know it's gold. Each of those three balls has it's own separate outcome. If you picked G1, the next ball is G2. If you picked G2, the next ball is G1. If you picked G3, the next ball is S1.
If all we know is you picked a gold ball, it is 100% accurate to say that there are 3 possible outcomes for the next ball.
It is ALSO 100% accurate to say the next ball is either gold or silver.

Y’all getting caught up too much on the amount of balls in play when in reality you’re choosing from 1 of 2 boxes.
Of those 2 boxes you will get only 1 result. The answer is 50% .. this some kindergarten level shite

I'm actually quite impressed that someone who agrees the answer is 67% can be this steadfast about having only two possible outcomes for the next ball - gold or silver.

There are 3 possible ways for a person to draw a gold ball out of one box. The question then becomes is the next ball gold or silver. Two of these will result in a second gold ball drawn out of the same box, one will result in a silver .
Tons of different ways to phrase it.
