It was full at 10:20 am here. It started to get interesting about 20 minutes before.

Still 30 minutes or so before it's maxed out in SELA.

I looked up through sunroof while wearing two sunglasses. Don't recommend it

Either my light perception sucks or I'm retarded but it looks just slightly darker in BR.

Not any darker than partly cloudy. We will still have 25% of the sun

I looked at it for a few minutes with those glasses and now all I see are purple spots everywhere

It is noticeably darker to me as well, but I've been staring at the sun for half an hour, so I don't trust my vision.

It would have been really, REALLY funny if nobody said anything about the eclipse
People would melt, cities would burn, siblings would frick each other in bama, electrical grids would shutdown, ships on the river would crash........
Then an hour later people would be walking around like nothin happened
so... a regular Monday?

When it reached max here (60%) it was slightly darker outside for sure.

What about deer, birds, squirrels and raccoons?
Are brighter than most people and know instinctively not to look up into the sun.

Depends on what part of Baton Rouge you're going to be in
