Because one of the integral parts of being a teacher is babysitting other people's rugrats.
They no longer have to do that. Their salary should be adjusted accordingly. As should the amount of taxes paid by parents.

I can only speak for the LPG industry along with chem plants but once we get past the election or Covid dies down, things will get better.
Things are bad in all industry’s but we’ve been hammered. Tell your kids who are in college for engineering things will be much better by spring and continue to get better.

Lol. I'm doing my Masters at LSU rn and we were just charged a building fee for the summer semester for an online class. Don't expect them to refund shite.

I didn’t like online classes.
I learned less, it was no substitute for being in a lecture, and grading was lenient. It felt like a quid pro quo. Where I paid for good grades.
The shift to online learning will just water down and already watered down product - and make college even more meaningless.

NE Ohio, pricey Catholic high school. Parents/kids have a choice of in school full time or virtual full time. Not sure what the virtual full time entails in terms of hours/times of live virtual classes. Gonna be interesting.

When the school asks for donations down the road, tell them that you were going to send them $10K but it got eaten up by all kinds of fees that took precedence over the school getting its money.

Larger classes will be online, smaller classes are supposed to be either hybrid or in-person, but some faculty members may have scheduled them to be online. I heard that they were planning to move smaller classes to the large lecture halls in order to space people out.
