I was thinking that, too. Most boomers are just in their first bit of collecting. No way of predicting the average lifespan 20 years from now and when they stop collecting.
Boomers need to act like patriots and die at 75.

I'm a Boomer and never heard of it before the millennial pussies started screaming for theirs

Remember when there were threads about Boomers being the problem with social security? Not so fast
I think their negative impact is much more prevalent with Medicare, but I could be wrong.

I still don’t know what SS is. Like a form of government retirement?
Sort of. It's also a source of $$ for the government to raid.

Boomers are entitled to way more SS benefits than they put could ever dream of contributing
Such a sad welfare generation

What a sad way to go through life. “I want to live so the government to take care of me later in life”

Anyone who is under the age of 45 right now who is planning to get a SS check is planning for failure.
Don't do it people. Open a 401k and at minimum a Roth in addition. SS isn't going to be there for you.

This is pretty stupid. How many people born around 1917 are still around drawing a check? Everyone after that turned 18 around 1935 and paid into the system. There's about 50,000 Americans over the age of 100.
Sorry Boomers. Everything is still your fault.

Hold on a minute. For more years that I care to remember, I've paid the max into social security. I've also paid thru taxes for welfare, food stamps, section 8 housing and on and on and on.
So the govt has taken care of everybody else on my dime for all these years! When the frick is it my turn to get on the gravy train? The answer: Social Security
