If you put water on first, the bottle gets wet when you pick it up, and drips on the counter when you put it down

Plus, you need some paper towels to open the door. The last thing you want to do with your clean hands is go grab a bathroom door handle that you know there’s probably a 90% chance the last guy who touched it either pissed or wiped his arse with no thought to check up at the sink before grabbing said door handle with his nasty unwashed hand.
