From her website...

As Mayor, LaToya will make us safe, create better-paying jobs, prioritize our neighborhoods, restore affordability and fight for a more equitable New Orleans

Cantrell actually seems somewhat intelligent. Broome on the other hand is borderline retarded.
Cantrell seems malevolent towards business and law-abiding, tax-paying citizens whereas Broome just seems incompetent.

Put a gray wig and beard on her and she'd look just like Fred Sanford.

She wants property owners to pay higher taxes to subsidize “affordable housing”, that she will try to squeeze into every nook and cranny in the city.
So while you work hard to pay your mortgage and taxes, Ladasha and her 5 kids get a free ride next door all in the name of equality.
If that’s not the definition of leftist and social engineering, then I don’t know what is.

It’ll be a race to rock bottom.

She was part of the City Council and its idiocy the last four years. In other words, neglect critical infrastructure while making a big show of embracing the latest trendy social cause.

She ran on affordable housing and equality. This essentially means Nola is becoming too expensive so she wants to put Section 8 in your gentrifying neighborhood.

I gotcha. Yeah I do not support higher taxes in the name of social engineering

My prediction for the next 47 long months-
LaToya will actually (as incredulous as this might now seem) make us miss Mitch.

Worse, believe it or not but perhaps so bad that she'll end up indicted or otherwise removed from office.

My initial thought is "it can't get worse than Mitch", but I'm afraid to say that. Don't want Latoya to say "hold my 40 oz".

I didn’t realize property taxes can be any higher in this city. I saw something interesting a while back saying less that 50% actually pay property taxes while everyone else is exempt, including churches, Loyola and Tulane ect.
