So who on the OT has gotten a "free" upgrade from their ISP lately?

Might want to check your bill the next few months. That "free" upgrade might not be so free in a month.

These are the people we should trust without net neutrality.

Maybe I’m old fashioned but this is just another reason why I don’t auto pay anything.

Anytime they bump you up in speed, you pretty much know it means they are creating another tier and at some point they will charge you for the bump.

Because with net neutrality you can keep your doctor.

So much stoopid happens here, I love it.

Tell me one example where a sanctioned monopoly (so little to no free market forces) with no regulations ever worked out?

Because that’s the dirty little secret that this new fricktard doesn’t want to talk about. The reason why they were shoehorned under Title 2 was because they legally stuck it to the FCC as being excempt from regulation as entities similar common carriers. And won.

So to recap:

Companies began to violate NN

FCC said stop it.

Comcast, Verizon, et al said NO, WE’LL FIGHT YOU

They fight using above meationed CC as their defense.

They win.

FCC goes “fine, if you are common carriers we’ll regulate them as such at least as far as NN goes”

Companies lose their shite whining.

They make politicial campaigns saying that they hold NN dear and don’t want to violate it....but they are just being so very oppressed being told that they can’t do it.

Please.

Not all regulation is bad, a lot is but not all. The lack of lead in paint is a good thing and so is protection from ISP's.

I’m not sure. Society really has gone downhill since that was passed.

Because without NN, you'll have more choices of providers!

I love all the anti government people blindly taking the government's propaganda hook line and sinker.

Cox pulled this a few months ago when I went into their store to cancel cable. I was skeptical to say the least.

Firstly, their store was nice as hell, with no wait time.

Secondly, their customer service was very pleasant, and cancelling was a breeze.

And lastly, they gave me a "free" upgrade in internet speed.

I was so befuddled by this experience that I knew something was fricked when I left.

My internet has sucked ever since. Never get anything near the speed they claim.
