and casinos just started to pop up all over the state?

Oklahoma/Windstar go down the tubes?

What happens to the Nugget and LDL in LC?

Would the Isle of Capri cut their $5 tables down to $1??

I'd imagine even Vegas would become a shell of itself if California legalized casino gambling.

It's unfortunate that this is a legit question. Even if it became legalized here, it would have so many restrictions that you could really only play slot machines which are only fun for mindless drones. Put your money in and push the button.

Thank goodness Texas doesn't need the money.

The Oklahoma casinos haven't killed Shreveport so why would Texas ones do it? Choctaw and Winstar are much closer to Dallas. The drive is about half of the drive to Shreveport.

Rest assured that OK and LA lobbyist are keeping pockets lined in Austin to ensure this never happens.

80% of casino $ comes from slots baw

Casinos only have table games like BJ & poker to give the impression of Monte Carlo, Col Beauregard on the riverboat. Casinos would have nothing but slots if they could get away w/it

Tillman Fertitta bought the Golden Nugget in Vegas to learn the ropes and popped up a test run in Lake Charles to see how it would go. He’s gonna get a monster casino in Texas sooner than later.

Book it. Literally.

They better hope the Oklahoma lobbyists know what they're doing because the LA casino lobbyists aren't too good at their jobs since the LA legislature just voted down sports betting again. Mississippi lobbyists in BR doing work.

The story I've heard is that he pushed for legalized gambling in Texas for years to no avail. Bought the gambling license for GN in LC and now lobby's against legalized gambling in Texas.

FWIW his yacht has been parked at GN LC for the past 2 weeks.

You could stick a fork in every casino in Lake Charles, Shreveport, and the Winstar.

90% of the people at the Nugget are from Texas
