They better be prepared to start paying some bills. My entire family is self employed and still shut down and have lost over $200,000 in income from this shutdown.

just picked up an iced coffee and no one in the coffee shop was wearing a mask except the folks behind the counter and me. Yesterday I was at Harbor Freight and other than me and one or two other folks and the workers, no masks.

Very sorry to hear that..... I don’t want anyone to catch this virus but at the same time , while this is going on the places similar to yours are being shutdown left and right..... I think it was cool for most to revive a stimulus check but at the time they got it , nothing was open.... and now it’s just crazy....

Once again middle class working Americans will be hurt the most over this and be expected to grin and bear it.

If you wear a mask and social distance, how exactly will the numbers go up?

By testing 10 times the people with an unfalsifiable, unreliable test

This thing was checkmate from the beginning

I’m sure the protest/rioters had nothing to do with the covid spike right?

The shutdowns were a failed and futile strategy that accomplished nothing.

I’d have to look at worldwide numbers again, but It seems to have worked everywhere but here

Not so sure about that. Apart from a couple of outlier countries that are not like us at all, the places that are now doing well were hit very hard. Can you really attribute where they are now to their shutdown? Or was it a case of the virus doing its thing and running its course? You see the same thing here in the US. Cali shut down long and hard, but guess what? When they opened the virus was there waiting. Many can't accept this, but the virus is just going to have to run its course. It is arrogance in the face of nature to think we can solve this with government dictates like shutdowns.

Just for fun, look at the virus fatality curve of Sweden, which did not shut down, and compare it to that of many of the European countries that did.

I'm over 60 and not healthy, so I haven't been out much.

I had to take my dad's truck for an inspection sticker. Nobody there was wearing a mask. Not just talking customers. None of the employees had them on either.

I had to get a battery for my security system at Lowe's. The employees had on mask, and other people that looked like homeowners did, but none of the guys that looked like professional contractors had them on.

I went to a local restaurant Friday to pick up food and saw a guy from my church go in without a mask. The people I've talked to who have been going to church through last weekend said who's wearing them is about half and half.

Most people working at stores and restaurants are wearing them, but the general public in NELA hasn't been. After all of the "If you want football this fall, wear a mask" messages I've seen lately, maybe they start wearing them.

People are wearing cotton mask and things that are basically cut off shirt sleeves thinking that will stop any kind of small particles. It's like using a chainlink fence to keep mosquitoes out.

That’s what they say to do though! Nevermind that in January and February, every single one of the doctors screaming about wearing a mask now was saying how they wouldn’t do ANY good.
