Not true.
The children can't replace their mother, but you can definitely have another person in your life that would qualify as the "mother of your children" if you had more children.
Am I the only person here that realizes you only have two biological parents in one lifetime, but you can have a zillion baby mommas? Am I taking crazy pills?
You're just an idiot trying to make a funny.

You're right in that I cannot relate to having two parents since my grandmother was a widow before I was in the picture.
As to what's normal, I suppose my history could be described as quite abnormal.

And how does that make a "new mother" for the existing child of the dead mom?
Well now that would be the child's problem because that child lost their parent.

That's like 99% sure. Meaning you're not sure.

Ok fine, for all intents and purposes his grandmother took the place of his mother. I will assume he loved his grandmother as much as he would have his mother.

This fricking douche
I bet your parents even hate you.
F that, they prob gave you away As soon as you learned to talk.

So how are you biologically making a new mother for the child?
Don't answer, just STFU.

It's pretty much the same actually.
as i touched on earlier, losing elderly parents(in his case a grandparent) comes much easier than a parent in their "prime".

This may be true, but what does it have to do with the obvious double-standard?

I'm just arguing semantics. Not your point.
"pretty much the same", "99% sure", etc. I don't know what's going on here.

Nope, she'd never qualify as the biological mother of the children, and that's exactly what you stated earlier.

No, my point is if you are speaking biologically, neither can be replaced. However, the roles of both a mother, as well as parents, can be replaced.

Not when you're 15 I'd imagine. And not when that parent was all you had.
ETA: You certainly have a bunch of definitive opinions for things you have no experience with.

You are correct. She was the only mother I ever knew and I loved her as such.

So someone found a replacement mother for Darth and he loved her as much as would have loved his mother???.....
Is it not possible for me to find another mother for my children to replace their mother in the vent something were to happen to her?

You cannot create two new biological parents.
When you are an adult and on your own, you don't NEED two new biological parents. It's not to say you don't love them or they're not wonderful, but you build a future with your spouse. Not with your parents. You have things to look forward to with your spouse. Not with your parents. Every aspect of what makes a relationship with your parents SHOULD be finished (other than continuing to know/love them and maybe giving them grandchildren). The experiences to encounter with your spouse still lie ahead ahead.
Yeah, like someone said, people lose their spouses all the time and recover from it (I assume he means death, as a breakup is not the same).. Well, people lose their parents all the time and recover from it too. In fact, it seems people recover from losing a parent easier... but I won't put that on record as every person is different and I don't think comparing people's emotions makes sense

I already gave what I thought was pretty solid reasoning for the difference earlier in the thread.
