It seems that she feels she deserves $10k per month for now. How much will she increase it after 1 year of marriage? 2 years? 3 years?
He should ask her, "How much should I get in discretionary spending per month?"
If she thinks both should get $10k per month, then she needs her head examined. (she already needs that anyway)
If she thinks he should get $5k per month or nothing, then he has his answer. No matter how she answers this question he will have all the info he needs.
She has no financial sense.
He needs to do the math for her.
$120k per year, plus all living expenses such as autos, house, food, etc. Let's say they need $200k per year to support her spending habits. He will need to make close to $300k per year to afford her.
What kind of auto does she feel she should have? Does she trade it in yearly? This could cost another $10k to $25k per year depending on type of auto. Maybe she decides sh should have 2 cars.
It's time for him to tell her that neither he nor most men can afford her.
